When starting out on Pagan or Wiccan journey it can be
daunting looking at the large range of items available and
you may wonder where to start. We have written this
section to help you see what other commonly purchase at the
beginning of their journeys.
Wiccan magic, rituals and practices are built around the use
of ritualistic objects used to symbolise different meanings,
desires and hopes. Many spells require the use of different
herbs, oils or incense and the use of ritual tools.
A
book of spells is an essential purchase this is used to
write spells, ingredients, wishes etc. We have a lovely
collection available at the secret hollow., we also have
some lovely feather pens to write with.
Other first purchases usually include a cauldron to mix
spell potions, a chalice to use during spells . Candles are
often used during spells - different colours symbolise
different things. A wand is used to focus energy.
Jewellery is very symbolic and worn to invoke additional
power. A pentagram is a popular symbol, the five points
symbolise the elements of air, earth, fire, water and
spirit. Pentagrams are worn as a source of protection.
